Taughannock Falls in Autumn

Taughannock Falls State Park is a State Park and gorge located northwest of Ithaca, near Trumansburg. The main waterfall is a 215 foot drop, making it 33 feet taller than Niagra Falls. Some of the cliffs of the gorge are around 400 feet high. The trail to get back to the main waterfall is about three quarters of a mile.

The Park offers hiking and nature trails, camping, picnicking, swimming, fishing, and a boat launch, as well as ice-skating, sledding, cross-country skiing in the winter.
