Route 36 is a 95 mile long north/south State Highway in western New York. Route 36 begins at the state line of Pennsylvania at Troupsburg (where it continues as Pennsylvania Route 249) northward through New York to Ogden, where it ends east of the village of Brockport at Route 31. Along the way, NY 36 passes through the villages of Dansville, Mount Morris, Caledonia, and Churchville, and the city of Hornell.
