Route 31 is a 209 mile long east/west state highway located north of the Finger Lakes Region, running parallel to Lake Ontario. The western end of Route 31 is at an intersection with NY 104 in the city of Niagara Falls. The eastern end is at a traffic circle with NY 26 in Vernon Center.
