Hemlock Lake is one of the minor finger lakes. It is about seven miles long and a half a mile wide. It is 45 feet deep on average with a maximum depth of 91 feet. Hemlock Lake is a water source to Rochester, so shore development (cottages) and motorboat size is limited.

Hemlock Lake features land-locked salmon, and it is also a great fishery for Trout, Bass, Perch, and White Crappie.
