Carousel Center is a large, seven storey shopping mall and entertainment complex in Syracuse. It has over 1.5 million square feet of area and over 150 retail stores. It has eight anchor store slots - currently filled with Best Buy, Bon Ton, H&M, JC Penney, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, and Sports Authority. Other large stores include Borders, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Old Navy, and Against All Odds. In addition, there is a seventeen-screen Regal Cinemas movie complex, a Bally Total Fitness, and around 150 other retail stores. It opened on October 15, 1990 and is owned by The Pyramid Companies.
The name was changed to Destiny USA in 2012, when a large expansion was added to the east side of the mall. It includes an indoor aerial park for children and is LEED Gold certified. It also has an indoor go-kart track.
The Best Buy here is large, but it does not follow the same model as other large Best Buy stores. It has a home theater room in the corner, however it is not a Magnolia home theater like the other ones, and it is locked with a chain around the handles as of 2015.
